Report from Palestine – The Crisis of Occupation
Sunday, January 31, 2016 – 7pm (doors at 6:30) Niebyl Proctor Library 6501 Telegraph Ave. – Oakland (near Ashby BART) $3.00 donation requested The Palestinian people are forced to live under Israeli military occupation in the West Bank and Gaza, suffering daily violence at the hands of the Israeli army. The latest war on Palestinians in the summer of 2014 caused the deaths of over 2,000 people and more than 250 children. In the last months, some Palestinians have reacted by attacking soldiers and settlers, leading to even more violence by the Israeli army. The Palestinians continue to resist, and some choose the path of mass mobilization rather than individual acts. And some Israeli activists join them in this struggle Join us for a video-interview via Skype with Palestinian and Israeli activists resisting the occupation.
