The Starry Plough banner was flown by the Irish Citizen Army during the 1916 Easter Rising. The significance of the banner, according to socialist James Connolly, was that a free Ireland would control its own destiny from the plough in the dirt to the stars in the skies. Bernie Sanders voted for money for Israel during Israel's massacre of Gaza in July 2014. He is a lifelong Zionist, a darling of AIPAC. His Russian bashing and celebration of war contractors in Vermont are part of his same support of the US war machine as his support of the US military base called Israel.
ALL WAR IS UNNECESSARY; this is just insulting rhetoric to claim to want to avoid "unnecessary" wars. All of the wars being perpetrated by US imperialism are blood for oil wars to maximize the profits of the capitalist class, the greatest profits being in oil and munitions.
His domestic reform laundry list is the usual strategy of the warmongering Democrats, who NEVER deliver any of the reforms, but use them as rhetoric to make sure you never vote Red or Green, IN ADDITION TO THE FACT THAT WE CANNOT HAVE GUNS AND BUTTER. With the Democrats, they have NO INTENTION of delivering anything WHATSOEVER to the workingclass as they are the twin party of war and fascism to the Republicans, paid for by the SAME capitalist class to carry out the same anti-labor agenda, all to maximize the profits of the capitalist class, the primary goal of capitalism, the society in which we live.
Just as the Democrats PROUDLY support the SAME war agenda as the Republicans abroad, they also PROUDLY support the SAME police state at home, giving all the money to every police department that the police want for salaries and weapons, hence they are the TWIN PARTIES OF WAR AND FASCISM.
NEVER FALL FOR THIS ROUTINE commonly known as the good cop, bad cop routine, that Sanders and Clinton are playing, and Clinton and the Republicans are playing. In some circles, this is called the carrot and the stick. They all have the same agenda, to make the millionaire class richer. The Democrat-Republican Party (one party at the beginning of the 19th century and it still is in reality) has absolutely nothing to offer the workingclass because it is bought and paid for by the capitalist class whose interests are opposed to labor by definition.
