Alameda Co Brd of Spvr’s to approve deputies travel to 2016 SHOT Show
Date Tuesday January 12
Time 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM
Location Details
Alameda County Board of Supervisors' Regular Meeting
1221 Oak St., Oakland
Board Chambers, Room 512
Event Type Protest
Regarding: Items 31 & 32 - VOTE NO to approving paid travel to the 2016 SHOT Show

The 2016 SHOT Show could be considered even more odious and dangerous than the past dozen year’s Urban Shield “terrorism” exercises and associated militarized vendor expositions. Do you want your taxes to be spent on an event for sport-shooting enthusiasts? Municipal police and county sheriff's deputies killed over 1000 people last year. Most are extra-judicial killings - the officer gets to be judge and jury. It's as though it is open season on the populace. If the sheriff's deputies want to attend this conference, they can pay their own way as private citizens.

Contact the county supervisors. Their emails are listed below. It’s even better to be there in person. They can’t ignore you when you stand and speak at the lectern.

31. Sheriff - Commander, Captain, and Sheriff's Technician - National Shooting Sports Foundation Conference - Las Vegas, Nevada, 1/18/16 - 1/23/16 (No Cost)
32. Sheriff - Captain, 3 Lieutenants, Sergeant, and Sheriff's Technician - National Shooting Sports Foundation Conference - Las Vegas, Nevada, 1/18/16 - 1/23/16 ($1,500 each)

6 x $1500 = $9000 Notice the sheriff didn't list the conference by it's real name. See below ...
