Award-winning writer Cecile Pineda will talk about Apology to a Whale: Words to Mend a World and why it is our mind that is killing our world. Pineda is the author of Devil’s Tango: How I Learned the Fukushima Step by Step, a project which led her to question where the impulse comes from that allows a civilization to destroy itself. Joanna Macy writes: “Cecile Pineda has the rare capacity to address the big questions without falling into abstractions and sermonizing. The artist in her utters a potent call to personal and collective liberation.” Discussion will be encouraged with Q & A. For more info go to cecilepineda.com.
