"Pacific Pivot" Bully's cruise in South China Sea is a Pirate's PR trick
Last week's US Navy sailing by a destroyer to within 12 miles of a Chinese artificial reef in the South China Sea was a PR cruise that got a principled but stern reaction by Beijing. The US Ambassador was called to the Foreign Ministry to receive a well-deserved warning that such provocative actions by Washington in the future will be met with stronger countermeasures. Interestingly, the US "corporate-bin-Laden" media omitted any mentioning of the diplomatic scolding suffered by the self-proclaimed "lone Superpower"!
The latest display of the "Pivot to the Pacific" strategy reflects the fast-declining USA empire's last desperate try to militarily dominate the Pacific Basin. For 7 decades after the end of WW II, the Imperial regime in Washington had treated that vast ocean as an American lake. But a rising and more assertive China is challenging the US supremacy, and the Mafia bosses don't like it at all; hence they're baring their fangs to try to intimidate the resurgent Dragon.
But the Imperialists in Washington are caught with supersized Hypocrisy at every turn. First, they are accusing China of violating terms of the UN Law of the Sea(UNLOS), an international agreement that had been ratified by over 160 nations, but Washington is NOT a signatory(mostly because USA corporate Capitalist greed wants to impose a 200-mile economic exclusive zone instead of the UNLOS much narrower 12-mile territorial waters provision). So the US protest of Chinese violations of UNLOS agreements is like an outlaw charging that law-abiding citizens are ignoring legal provisions. Secondly, China had never threatened to interfere with lawful commercial navigation in the high seas. Third, the UNLOS provision of innocent passage specifically omitted to guarantee the right of military vessels to conduct provocative sailings close to another nation's sovereign waters. The very fact that US Secretary of War Ash Carter openly bragged about the intent to challenge China's South China Sea's activities back in June clearly exposes the US Navy destroyer's latest sailing as anything but a "free and innocent passage" in international waters.
Most critically, the US Imperial regime should be much more careful about charging other nations as violating international law, because its own Pacific Command HQ and naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawai'i is actually located on an illegally-occupied territory! So the USA should be the last party to accuse other nations as violating international agreements. Until a--protracted---negotiated settlement is finally agreed to by ALL citizens of that strategic archipelago, Washington must refrain from being the self-appointed Global Cop to enforce violations of international law. Isn't this quite elementary, my dear Dr. Watson?

Nuremberg Trials: (1945-46)
The U.S. Judge who chaired the Nuremberg Trials wrote into international law that the Planning and Doing of Aggressive War is the Supreme International Crime on the Planet Earth. That is because it acctuates all other crimes big, small, high and low. He furether says that aggressive war is the supreme international crime whether Germany does it or the U.S.A. does it.
Here is how he exactly says that----"War is essentially an evil thing....to initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."
Obama Piviting 60% of the U.S Navy to the far east region hearalds that supreme international crime. It is not China which is making trouble in the South China Sea by using its new modern means of productrion to make an Island or two in its herstorical region.
It is the U.S. Imperium threatening the Peoples Republic of China by planning and doing aggressive war excercises around the far east all aimed at regime changing the Peoples Republic of China.
This they have being doing as a form of U.S. State Terrorism since Sept. 1945 and before with its supreme worst crime of invading United Korean territory and kiiling 5 miilion Korean people, while threatening nuclear war against the Korean and Chinaese people.
This process of threatening countries if they practice independence and freedom is declared in international law as totally illegal in the United Nations Charter which declares that the UN Charter forms the United Nations for the purpose of making war just a long distant memory for the comming generations.
Also other anti-fascist covenants such as Geneva Conventions of war says that 1) targeting and killing of civilians is a war crime, 2) torturing and killing POW's is a war crime, 3) collective punishment is a war crime, such as destroying a whole people by slow motion genicide (Gaza) for the crimes of a few bad apples.
Clearly the U.S. Empire is planning and doing all these war crimes in Asia and perpatrating the Supreme International Crime on the planet Earth, and has being doing so for a very long time in the far east region.
Most recently Murdering five million Indo-Chinese People, and five million Korean People. Such supreme intenrational war crimes must be held to account by the liberation side of the second world war and all peoples who do not want to see Supreme international war crime go unpunished.
That is the Peoples democracy throughout the world. End wars of pollution, fossil fuel degradation. Re-tool to lliberating renewable energy such as wind, tidal, and solar power which tranforms to electricity-- a non-pollution no war solution.
You yet have a world to win!! Double world democracy by electing wormen equally----gender Parity troughout so our specie can reach harmony and joy as is the 50-50 level of natural organic ecological balance of the man woman question. Restore the Matriarchy that way. Workers of the world unite!!

I notice that the State Council of the People's Republic of China has 9 members. All are male. And all are Han Chinese. No minorities are represented. Are women even allowed higher office in the PRC Government? Here in the USA we have had women who were Secretary of State. Could something like that ver happen in the PRC?

Imperial aggression and genocide is greater crime than gender disparity!
M. Holmes is correct that PRC needs more work on its lack of gender and minorities parity in its top leadership. However, by itself gender parity alone does not necessarily equate to the urgency of ending Imperialist invasions and drone killings of civilians. Just note how ex-US ambassador to UN Mad. Albright said that the killing of up to 1/2 million Iraqi civilians was "worth it" after the first Gulf War, and then you had Secretary of State "Killary" who gleefully rejoiced at Libya's Gaddafi getting shot by U.S.-supported Jihadist militants. So how do you square "women in power" as being crucial in fostering peace and negotiations in affairs?
