Baghdad OKs Russia Bombing ISIS in Iraq

by Stephen Lendman

A previous article cited the Turkish Anadolu (News) Agency, saying Baghdad authorized Russia to bomb ISIS elements crossing from Syria into Iraq, according to its parliamentary security and defense committee chief, Hakem al-Zameli.

He confirmed it, saying “Iraq agreed with Russia, which leads the (Baghdad-based intelligence sharing) joint data center, to hit the ISIL militants heading from Syria into Iraq” - despite Joint Chiefs Chairman Joseph (“Fighting Joe”) Dunford warning Iraqi officials not to permit it, during his hurried trip to confer with them last week, saying they may lose so-called US aid, the kind letting ISIS capture and control large parts of the country.

Russia’s intervention in Syria and now Iraq changes things dramatically in the region and potentially globally - challenging Washington’s imperial agenda significantly for the first time, throwing it into disarray, compounded by Jordan agreeing to cooperate with Moscow militarily against ISIS.

Lunatics in Washington are reeling. Russia’s impressive display of military might against ISIS shows it’s a formidable adversary, a force to be reckoned with.

Putin made a strategically important move at the right time against the right enemy. Sooner would have been much better, but the point is he acted responsibly against a scourge threatening all Middle East countries and others.

He’s fighting the enemy America claims to be against. Clear evidence shows otherwise. He’s increasingly gaining allies. Will EU nations be next - fearful about their nationals joining ISIS, then returning home and turning on their governments?

They’re already unable to cope with the human refugee flood, continuing daily because of America’s endless wars. A potential domestic terrorist threat may ally them with Russia to confront it.

Cracks in Washington’s imperial strategy are visible for the first time in memory. Expect something like the following scenario to unfold. As Russia destroys ISIS positions in areas of Syria and Iraq being struck, their elements will scatter elsewhere in both countries.

Expect Russia to widen its campaign in response, hitting them wherever they are, with permission from Damascus and Baghdad - to the consternation of US officials, unable to do anything about it except wage ineffective propaganda war.

Russia’s campaign changed the geopolitical dynamic. The center of gravity resides in Moscow. Washington is hugely on the back foot - Putin now preeminent world leader, Obama and lunatics around him exposed more than ever as humanity’s scourge.

The anti-ISIS coalition includes Russia, Syria, Iraq and Iran, China in the wings because of its own terrorist threat, Jordan a junior partner, perhaps other regional countries joining them - plus the newly formed Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) anti-terrorism alliance aimed at preventing its spread to Central Asia.

Again, it bears stressing. Putin’s move is hugely important. How things turn out remains to be seen, but at least a world leader now commits to fight a scourge free people everywhere want contained, neutralized and eliminated.

Everyone wanting to stay safe supports his righteous mission - gangster nations like America, Israel, Britain, the Gulf States and other rogue allies alone oppose it, backing a terrorist scourge vital to eliminate.

Putin is a world hero. So is Sergey Lavrov, both deserving universal support and Nobel Peace Prize recognition, head and shoulders above all others for the award - polar opposite the criminal class in Washington.

Does Stephan Lendman even bother to read the comments here, or any other material published here besides his own writings? Or does he simply manufacture this material in vaccuum and cross-post it here?

Either way, we can conclude that, in his case, ignorance is indeed strength. Isis was a famous woman.

Op/Ed: The use of the acronym ISIS should be an object of alt-media protest

Consider yourself protested, if not for misogyny, then for your ignorance. Don't ostrich it, read it! I was serious about protesting that acronym, and I'll continue to do it until you stop using it.

Then why is there cannibalism inside Russian jails? I know someone who was in one for 9 months, but his family connections in the Russian mafia got him out, otherwise he would have done something like 20 years. He called it a "Gulag," and pointed-out how the cannibals sharpen their teeth to make them pointed in order to scare people, and prey on the old, the very young, the sick, and the dying.

Or has Lendman forgotten Pussy Riot? And the members of the situationalist performance art group that wrote a piece saying among other things "piss on Putin," some of those women are still in Russian jails. Or has Lendman forgotten the information black-out at the Sochi Olympic Games?

What ever Obama is, I seriously doubt that he is the "enemy of humanity." Shall we thank you now for yet another edition of the Daily Lendman Screed?

Stalingrad destroyed the elite Nazis controlled armies of the second world war. That is because Hitler removed the cream of the German Army that he used in conquoring Europe, and replaced those troops in Europe with inferior second class troopers so he wouldn't have to fight on two fronts, he put all his best conquoring elite troops thereby against Stalingrad.

When Stalin and the Workers and Peasent Red Armies defeated the Nazis elite troops at Stalingrad. The whole world, bar none, breathed a huge sigh of relief, and that is because the people knew instinctively that the Third Reich armed by the U.S., British, French, Italian, Belgian Empires etc. in Europe was defeated, and the whole world understood that the axis powers had lost.

Why? It is because when you defeat the supreme elite troops of any nation there is not future for the nazis-fascist power because the Red army of workers and peasants could defeat all the secondary inferior troops still remaining. Such are the laws and rules of war itself.

After Stalingrad victory, all alliances with Hitlerism fell apart, and no victories could be recorded by the German and Japanese Nazis-Fascist Alliance.

The present task that Russia has accepted of destoying the invading terroristic mercenaries against the elected democratic government of Syria are in all and every way being defeated by the Red Army again which is in essence the Russian Federation---the Russian peoples.

They again are proving that well trained troopers around air, land, water can and are defeating the U.S., Israeli, Saudi, Quatar proxxies armies trained and supplied by Nato and the client states contolled by the U.S. Empire via the Pentagon.

Russia is again detroying the fascist troops and their supplies just as their comrades did during the second world war. In that the whole world stands again in welcome awe and solidarity with their courage and global leadership.

Canada's First Canadian Division knew as before what it was to prey that Russia world win and the Red Army of Workers and Peasants could do to end FASCIST-NAZIS Power and the world owes Russia a great salute for causing and supporting every nation to be governed by the people of each nation, and that no country has the right to invade and occupy any other nation militarily. Syria is no threat, and is a paid up member of the United Nations.

Assad is the elected president of Syria and the Syrian Arab Army is the will of the Syrian people who have invited the Russian armed forces to help to defeat the invading U.S. trained C.I.A. fascist mercenaries.

Workers of the world unite!! End the fascist invastion of Syria and Aghanistan, Iraq, Yemen and Libya. You all yet have a world to win!!!

Re-tool to the renewables such as wind, tidal, and solar power and get out of the non-renewables such as coal, gas, oil and atomic energy.

Double Democracy by electing women equally ( Gender Parity ) so fifty-fifty law making can take place. Restoring the matiarchy can end aggressive war forever against the ecological balance of the web-of-life on the planet Earth.

Victory is scraping the WMD--weapons of mass destruction before they can use them, because ending the Aggressive War Machine is the path to freedom, democracy, and gender parity which all valid trade unions support. Voila!!
