Renoir Staffing, LLC hires attorney after their status is exposed as being cancelled

By Lynda Carson - October 14, 2015

Oakland - Within 48 hours of being exposed for operating under a cancelled business license with the state of Nevada, Renoir Staffing, LLC hired Michael Eric Chase, an attorney with the law firm of Boutin Jones, Inc., 555 Capital Mall Ste. 1500, in Sacramento, to demand a retraction of my article revealing that the business license of Renoir Staffing LLC has been cancelled.

Public records reveal that an address of 2705 17th St., in Sacramento, for a Michael E. Chase.

The bar number for Mr. Chase is 21405 and he is allowed to practice as an attorney in California and New York.

According to his bio: “Before joining Boutin Jones, Inc., Mr. Chase served as a law clerk to the Hon. Garland E. Burrell, Jr., US District Judge for the Eastern District of California, and the Hon. John T. Elvin, Senior US District Judge for the Western District of New York. Mr. Chase holds a BA degree from Cornell University and a JD degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of law. He also served as a member of the editorial board for the Buffalo Law Review. Mr. Chase is licensed to practice law in California and New York.”

In a letter dated October 13, 2015, from Michael Chase of Boutin Jones, in part it says: “We represent Renoir Staffing, Llc in connection with the subject matter of this letter. I write to demand that you cease and desist from making false, damaging and defamatory statements about Renoir Staffing, LLC and to demand that you retract several false statements in your article entitled “Renoir Staffing Services Has Suspended License.” In the article you claim that Renoir Staffing, LLC is a California corporation and that it has been suspended by the California Secretary of State. Those assertions are false. Renoir Staffing, LLC is a limited liability company formed under the laws of the Blue Lake Rancheria, a federally-recognized Indian tribe. Renoir Staffing, LLC is not a corporation registered with the California Secretary of State and has not been suspended.”

Regardless of what Mr Chase claims on behalf of his client Renoir Staffing, LLC, headquartered in Alameda, in my article I clearly stated that Renoir Staffing, LLC is not listed as an entity in California with the Secretary of State, and that Renoir Staffing Services, Inc, has a suspended license according to the records with the Secretary of State in California.

Therefore there is nothing to retract, and if Mr. Chase and his client Renoir Staffing, LLC an entity with a cancelled business license in Nevada, has a problem with the records of the Secretary of State in California and Nevada, including the public records of the Franchise Tax Board, they need to contact those agencies to voice their concerns.

In addition to the public records in California, public records from Nevada reveal that Renoir Staffing, LLC was incorporated in Nevada, but the public records also reveal that the incorporation business license for Renoir Staffing, LLC has been cancelled.

Just because I reported on this, it hardly means that attorney Mr. Chase and his client Renoir Staffing, LLC, an entity that had it’s business license cancelled in the state of Nevada, has the right to harass me, and accuse me of making false, damaging and defamatory statements. I object to this form of harassment, and demand that they cease and desist their activities immediately.

It is my belief that there are many property managers in Oakland and the Bay Area that are working for Renoir Staffing, LLC an entity that had it’s business license cancelled, that may be raising the rents on tenants, evicting them for profit, and possibly stealing their security deposits from them in the process.

This is the nature of the business at hand, that tenants have to deal with on a daily basis. Making matters worse, having a property manager having access to their files, and entering their homes, while working for an entity that had it’s business license cancelled, is an outrageous violation of people’s civil rights, and needs to be fought against, by any means necessary.

Furthermore in regards to Renoir Staffing, LLC public records also reveal that the incorporation business license in Nevada for Blue Lake Rancheria Economic Development Corporation, the owner of Renoir Staffing, LLC, has been revoked.

Once again to be very clear, public records in California reveal that a business license for Renoir Staffing, LLC in California does not exist, and that the license for Renoir Staffing Services, Inc., has been suspended, as I clearly reported in 2 recent articles about Renoir Staffing, LLC.

Additional public records in California with the Secretary of State reveal that the business license for Renoir Staffing, Inc, has been cancelled.

Anne Sparks is the director of corporate affairs at Renoir Staffing, LLC, an entity that does not legally exist in California, or Nevada, that is headquartered in Alameda.

According to the website for Renoir Staffing, LLC an entity that had it’s business license cancelled in Nevada: Since 1985, Renoir Staffing, LLC has been meeting the needs of apartment communities, property management companies and commercial real estate offices, and offering career building opportunities to candidates with real estate experience.  Headquartered in Alameda, Renoir Staffing, LLC has branch offices in San Jose, Folsom and Anaheim, CA, servicing property management staffing needs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, the Central Valley, and Orange County. Renoir Staffing, LLC employs more than 400 people with over $5 million in sales. The company has repeatedly been listed as one of the top staffing firms in the San Francisco Bay Area.

On it’s website, Renoir Staffing tells it’s clients that they can RELAX by knowing that the employees being provided by Renoir Staffing have passed in-depth background checks, their industry experience has been verified, and that our matches are guaranteed.

However, their website fails to mention that the incorporation license filed with the State of California is SOS/FTB suspended for Renoir Staffing Services, Inc, and Renoir Staffing, LLC is not listed as an entity in California, and had their business license cancelled in Nevada.

It may be a good idea for Renoir Staffing, LLC to post such pertinent information on their website, so their clients including renters, do not accuse them of committing fraud, or some kind of wrong doing.

It may be a good idea for tenants to contact an attorney, if they reside in a building with a property manager from Renoir Staffing, LLC an entity that had it’s business license cancelled in Nevada.
