Renoir Staffing Services Has Suspended License
At times the temporary property managers provided by Renoir Staffing may be evicting renters from their housing or raising their rents, even though the company they are working for (Renoir Staffing, LLC) does not exist as an entity in the state of California, and Renoir Staffing Services, Inc., has a suspended license!
Renoir Staffing Services Has Suspended License
By Lynda Carson - October 11, 2015
Oakland - Renoir Staffing Services, Inc., a large temp agency with offices in California, including Oakland, Alameda, Folsom, Orange, and San Jose, that provides property managers to nonprofit housing developers including the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation at times, in addition to for profit landlords, has a suspended license, according to records with the Secretary of State.
Renoir Staffing Services, Inc., is also known as Renoir Staffing, LLC, but the records with the Secretary of State does not have a listing for an entity called Renoir Staffing, LLC. Records only exist for Renoir Staffing Services, Inc., entity number C1850395, incorporated in 1993, with Carol Kotewicz-Denker listed as the agent for service of process, and the entity address is 3710 Grand Avenue, in Oakland.
Renoir Staffing Services, Inc, Renoir Staffing, LLC is headquartered at 1301 Marina Village Parkway, Suite 350 in Alameda. According to the website Linkedin they have between 11 and 50 employees.
In addition to providing property managers to numerous nonprofit housing developers in Oakland, Berkeley and the Bay Area, Renoir Staffing also provides temps to other companies needing temporary help.
On it’s website, Renoir Staffing tells it’s clients that they can RELAX by knowing that the employees being provided by Renoir Staffing have passed in-depth background checks, their industry experience has been verified, and that our matches are guaranteed.
Their website fails to mention that the incorporation license filed with the State of California is SOS/FTB suspended for Renoir Staffing Services, Inc, and that as an entity, Renoir Staffing, LLC does not exist.
According to the Secretary of State website: SOS Suspended or SOS Forfeited: “The business entity was suspended or forfeited by the Secretary of State for failure to file the required Statement of Information, and in the case of a domestic corporation that is an association formed to manage a common interest development, the required Statement by Common Interest Development Association.”
“Note: In the case of a domestic or foreign corporation, the Secretary of State suspension or forfeiture also may be due to the failure of the corporation to reimburse the Victims of Corporate Fraud Compensation Fund for a paid claim. However, in most cases, suspension or forfeiture by the Secretary of State is due to failure to file the required statement(s) as stated above. Further information about the type of Secretary of State suspension or forfeiture can be obtained by ordering a status report. For information about ordering a status report, see Information Requests.”
Additionally, Renoir Staffing claims to be “Masters” in the fine art of real estate staffing, by matching qualified property management professionals with temporary and permanent real estate jobs and careers.
With a suspended license, it appears that Renoir Staffing may have a lot of temporary property managers operating in Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, and elsewhere, that may have access to renter’s personal records.
At times the temporary property managers provided by Renoir Staffing may be evicting renters from their housing or raising their rents, even though the company they are working for (Renoir Staffing, LLC) does not exist as an entity in the state of California, and Renoir Staffing Services, Inc., has a suspended license.
It appears that the folks at Renoir Staffing have may have a lot of explaining to do in regards to the license of Renoir Staffing Services, Inc. being suspended, including the fact that Renoir Staffing, LLC is not listed as an entity in the great state of California.
Renoir Staffing did not respond to my request for an interview regarding to this story.

If Renoir is owned by a federally recognized tribe, it is not subject to state business regulations beyond those the tribe agrees to be bound by. This could include paying taxes or filing paperwork with the Secretary of State's office.
To: Watcher: Renoir Staffing licenses suspended, revoked and cancelled.
Yes Watcher, whatever... Talk is cheap, and you failed to back up your words with any facts.
However, the fact remains that the records reveal that Renoir Staffing Services, Inc. license is suspended by SOS/FTB, and Mainstay closed it's doors.
I think Renoir Staffing should be able to speak up on their own behalf, without an anonymous Watcher speculating on the situation for them.
I did not receive a call back from Renoir Staffing about this situation.
Sincerely,
Lynda Carson

On October 31, 1985 Carol Kotewicz-Dencker started Renoir Staffing Services, Inc. to offer the highest level of service to the property management industry. By 1996, Carol had opened Sacramento Office and the company reached its’ first million dollars in revenue. From that point on, Renoir Staffing continued to prosper and grow, receiving such honors as Largest Woman-Owned Business and Fastest-Growing Private Company from the Business Journal Lists.
In 2010, Kotewisz-Denker retired and sold the company to Blue Lake Rancheria, and we became an LLC. With the new company Renoir opened up two new offices: the Phoenix office in 2010 and Newport Beach in August 2011. It’s been exciting for us to expand our services within the industry and we take our responsility to be relied upon as a leader in staffing seriously. We’re happy to do so too!

Renoir Staffing, Eric Ramos, Mainstay employment closes it's doors
More California state records linked to Renoir Staffing and Eric Ramos of Blue Lake Rancheria reveal that the license of Renoir Staffing is suspended by the Fanchise Tax Board, a state agency.
A December 8, 2011 article mentions Eric Ramos who is accused of leaving people in a bad situation when Mainstay, a staffing company, closed it's doors during a feud with the government.
If Mainstay took over Renoir Staffing when the licenses in Nevada were revoked and cancelled, which may be possible, it definitely appears that Mainstay is no longer in business.
At this point, I still cannot find a state incorporation license, foreign or domestic, that is valid for Renoir Staffing, LLC.

A newly entrenched property manager, Liana Bates-Hall, hired by the non-profit corporation, CSI, owner of Redwood Gardens, a HUD contracted senior/disabled residence in Berkeley, started her regime by bullying the tenants and expressing contempt for the Residents' Council. She was invited to introduce herself to the Residents' Council but refused to attend saying that she had no obligation to us but only to those "who sign her pay check". She added that we, as tenants, only had the responsibility "to pay our rent and follow the rules." Ms. Bates-Hall was hired from Renoir Staffing Services, a temporary staffing provider of real estate personnel, that, upon a brief on-line search, had their license suspended.
As a resident of Redwood Gardens, and one who has been and will be, directly affected by the decisions and actions of Ms. Bates-Hall, I would like to know the legal status of the agency for whom she works and the background of their business resume.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
