Fundraising Concert to send Bay Area families of victims of murder by police to Rise Up October! to STOP Police Terror in New York City

Michael Brown…Freddie Gray… Rekia Boyd… Andy Lopez…Tamir Rice…

One after another -- and so many others, precious Black and Brown lives – victims of police murder. We think of their faces, and furiously ache for justice. Over 1000 people a year killed by police – yet since 2005, less than 60 indictments, less than 25 convictions and none for murder.

People have struggled, resisted, risen up in Ferguson, Baltimore, all over the country. But yet these wanton killings by police continue and increase.

This is a national epidemic, and it cries out for a major, national manifestation that states very clearly:

NO! THESE MURDERS BY POLICE MUST STOP – NOW!!

On October 22nd-24th thousands upon thousands will be taking the streets in New York, the international cultural and financial capital this empire. They will be standing with and supporting the largest gathering of families of victims of police murder ever to gather in one place in this country. 100+ families from all over the country will be there. But these families need help to get there.
