The Peace and Freedom Party presents

Bernie and Beyond
Socialist Perspectives on the Sanders Campaign

The Presidential Campaign of Bernie Sanders has drawn record crowds and electrified many left/progressives, but we need to ask the hard questions. Is it enough to “Feel the Bern?” Or do we need to build a movement that will last beyond 2016 and transform America and our Mother Earth? Our Suds, Snacks, and Socialism forum is inviting speakers from different political perspectives to join us in discussing these and other important questions.

Sat, Oct 3, 2015 • 2:00 PM-4:30 PM
At the Starry Plough Pub, 3101 Shattuck Ave, at Prince St in Berkeley

There is nothing socialist about anyone who is a Zionist, who attacks Russians, and is a proud supporter of war contractors in Vermont or anywhere else, as Bernie Sanders is. Democrats routinely mouth decent rhetoric at election time on domestic issues, failing to take any serious action once elected on domestic problems, but they proudly announce that they and the Republican Party have NO DIFFERENCE IN FOREIGN POLICY, and therefore their domestic policy is the same as we cannot have guns and butter. As far as I am concerned, just the fact that he is a proud Zionist darling of AIPAC, voting for tax dollars for Israel during Israel's July 2014 Gaza Massacre is sufficient cause to avoid him like the horror show that he is.NO SOCIALIST OR SOCIALIST ORGANIZATION CAN SUPPORT THE ZIONIST GOVERNMENT OF ISRAEL AND CLAIM TO BE SOCIALIST. Bernie Sanders revealed his phony populism by shamelessly bashing the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez - murdered by Obama, either poisoned or infected with incurable cancer causing substances. Sanders is no Hugo Chavez - or new UK Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn. He disgracefully denigrated Chavismo, calling the late Venezuelan leader a “dead communist dictator.”

He deserves universal condemnation for the remark, revealing his dark side. He’s no populist champion - never throughout his entire political career, undeserving of support from anyone.

NO ONE SHOULD BE SURPRISED. BERNIE SANDERS IS A PROUD SUPPORTER OF THE US WAR MACHINE that exists to maximize profits of the capitalist class. Exploiting the people of the world, including in Venezuela before Chavez, an oil rich country, is the primary goal of US imperialism. BERNIE SANDERS SUPPORTS CAPITALISM. NO SOCIALIST OR SOCIALIST ORGANIZATION HAS ANY BUSINESS SUPPORTING BERNIE SANDERS.

You need to have Chris Hedges in person at this event or show this excellent as usual video from Labor Video wherein Chris Hedges states:
"Your either stand with all of the oppressed or none of them" because "I wouldn't betray the Palestinians, I spent too long with them." It is only 1 minute & 11 seconds long. Just play this over and over in the background at this event. He spoke at the a rally for Kshama Sawant in Oakland, California on 9/19/15.
And don't forget to hand out the Counterpunch article cited above to every single person who enters this forum, The Myth of Bernie Sanders

There is apparently some debate in Peace & Freedom Party over how much of Israel to support. The answer is NO PART OF ZIONIST ISRAEL, whether it be Historic Palestine, or the settlements or the Zionist Occupation of West Bank & Gaza, can be supported by any socialist organization, which Peace & Freedom Party claims to be. Israel is now and was created to be an American military base to protect US oil profits in the Middle East and all other profits around the world. Israel is now and always has been a capitalist, racist, theocratic, anti-women catspaw of US imperialism. That is the only reason the US capitalist class supports it because all they care about is their profits, the primary goal of capitalism being maximization of profit. Peace & Freedom Party was actually going to put Sanders on its ticket until he announced that he was running as a Democrat. We do not need 3 Zionist parties on the ballot, 2, namely the Democrat-Republicans, are bad enough. I have been waiting 65 years to toss my pile of books on the horror of Israel, including one published in 1950 and that will only occur when the Zionist government is gone or I have to move into an old folks home due to being incapable of taking care of myself.

Albert Einstein blew the whistle on Nazi Israel at the time of its creation. See http://dissidentvoice.org/2010/01/einstein-on-palestine-and-zionism/

When the great violinist Yehudi Menuhin was interviewed in his DVD biography, Yehudi Menuhin, The Violin of the Century, A film by Bruno Monsaingeon, he said Israel went about their creation of a country the wrong way. They should have shared everything with the Palestinians and picked a revolving president as they have in Switzerland, which is a combination of language-based states. He said similar things in his speech in the Knesset in May 1991: “You must love if you yearn to be loved; you must trust to be trusted, serve in return to be served …[between Palestinians and Israelis] there must be absolute reciprocity, absolute equality.” [1].
