Women Organized to Resist and Defend in San Francisco invites you to a panel discussion featuring Jennicet Gutierrez, the translatina activist who boldly interrupted President Obama's speech honoring the gains of the LGBTQ community during PRIDE month. She spoke up demanding justice for the immigrant LGBTQ community. WORD is excited to welcome her as a special guest speaker.

All of the gains of the LGBTQ community have been won by organizers and activists who speak up and fight for the whole community. The solution to racist police brutality, to rampant gentrification, to the cuts to education and services and more will not be found in the dinners and press conferences of the White House and Congress. It is found in the organization and struggle of working and oppressed people. Join us for a community event featuring the struggle for LGBTQ and immigrant rights.

The Thursday before, September 10th at 7pm join us for our monthly volunteer meeting at the same place to spread the word about the forum.
