Hear about “The Sign the City of Fresno Does Not Want You to See.” Our guest this week on Stir it Up will be Sandra Celedon-Castro who will talk about the Fresno Building Healthy Communities ad that was banned on city buses. The bus ad points out that there are 1.02 park acres for every 1,000 Fresnans living in south Fresno and 4.62 park acres for every 1,000 residents living in north Fresno. Why does the City of Fresno not want you to know this fact?

Joining us will be Howard Watkins and Sandra Iyall talking about censorship of a political message on bus ads in the early 1980’s when the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom put up ads encouraging young people to “Think Before You Register for the Draft.” The host of Stir it Up is Pam Whalen. Mike Rhodes is the producer and engineer.
