The Convocation works to commemorate the legacy of Cesar Chavez. Chavez fought to establish union representation of farm workers through the formation of the United Farm Workers Union (UFW). Every year, the convocation aims to highlight the work of social justice activists in Latino communities that embody Chavez's legacy. This year's keynote speaker is Barrios Unidos founder and "Peace Warrior," Daniel "Nane" Alejandrez.
