Malcolm X and Black Liberation In honor of the 90th birthday of Malcolm X (May 19, 1925 – February 21, 1965), we have invited Gerald Smith, of the Oscar Grant Committee, to speak on the life and death of Malcolm X and his continuing relevance for the Black Liberation struggle. Sunday, May 17, 2015 - 10:30 am to 12:30 pm 6501 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland (just North of Alcatraz Ave.) Seating is limited, so plan to come early. We start promptly.
