Clown Army Santa Cruz is an anti-authoritarian, left-wing activist group that uses clowning and non-violent tactics to lighten-up tense protest situations, police confrontations and pretty-much any other community gathering.
Clown Army stands against corporate globalization, war, racism, classism, sexism, police militarism and most all other isms, mass-incarceration, and most of all boredom.
At BOOT CAMP:
We'll be practicing basic clowning skills, maneuvers, drills, etc.
This isn't a bozo-the-clown troupe, but a camouflage jacket, rainbow umbrella, pink feather boa wearing squad of freaks, jesters, smart-asses, and people who just need to do something radically different.
We have an early deployment coming the following sunday. Come and see what we have planned.
No clown-garb required at Boot Camp. Be prepared to create a clown uniform over the week following Boot Camp.
