Join us in bringing the campaign to reform Prop 13 to Sacramento!
We've been organizing locally in communities across Califonria for over two years, building support for the reform that would restore $6-10 billion to schools and public services. Now, with over 13,000 members, 700 elected officials, and dozens of other organizations across the state calling for reform, we're bringing the momentum to the Capitol. For the first time ever, legislation will be introduced in the state senate in the coming weeks to put Prop.13 reform on the ballot. Thursday, May 7, the Make it Fair Coalition will host a rally and press conference highlighting Prop 13's effects on schools, counties, and public services across California. The event will start at 10:30 in Sacramento, so there will be a free bus leaving from West Oakland BART at 8:30 am, returning no later than 2pm to the same location. Space is limited, so if you would like to be on the bus, RSVP to the contact info provided ASAP. We can't wait to celebrate how far we've come as we rally for change in Sacramento. See you there!
