Location Details:
Meet/start at the Orchard Picnic Area (accessible by AC transit bus line 67, a short walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART!) Remember to dress in layers (it can be cool in the shade) and bring sunscreen and a hat. Cell reception is spotty in this area. Please see the map below for meeting location and to get directions and check out the Tilden Park Trail Map.

For the fifth year in a row, GirlVentures’ Hike for Girls is being organized by our Girls Advisory Board (GAB) a group of high school girls who have participated in our programs and are raising funds to ensure all girls have access to these experiences. Join us on Saturday May 2nd, 2015 to enjoy a 3-mile scenic hike through Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley, to support scholarships for two-thirds of the girls we serve who come from low-to-middle income families. Bring the whole family (even the dog) to the event, where there will be yummy snacks and plenty of fun. Please arrive at 9:30am to register and enjoy complimentary coffee and bagels. The walk starts at 10:00am and the Award Ceremony and Closing is at 12:00pm. Register in advance to take advantage of our $20 early-bird special; day-of registration is $30. Get your friends and colleagues to support you by becoming a fundraiser. Can’t make the event? Donate today to support the Girls Advisory Board in their fundraising efforts! Best of all, donations and registration fees directly support scholarship opportunities for our transformative outdoor adventure and leadership programs, that empower diverse adolescent girls to develop and express their inner strengths.
