The Abe government is rapidly moving to full militarization and continues to fight to re-open Japanese nuclear plants. At the same time, the Abe administration is attacking teachers and public workers and has passed a secrecy law that is being used to silence those opposed to nuclear power and repress as well opposed to war and militarization.
The Abe government is also pushing ahead with building a new US base in Okinawa despite mass opposition of the people of Okinawa and even the newly elected governor.
