Join Hiroyuki Yamamoto, General Secretary of International Labor Solidarity Committee of Japanese railway union Doro-Chiba where he will report on Japan, Nuclear Power, Labor, Privatization, Repression And Growing Threat Of Imperialist War. The Abe government is rapidly moving to full militarization and continues to fight to re-open Japanese nuclear plants. At the same time, the Abe administration is attacking teachers and public workers and has passed a secrecy law that is being used to silence those opposed to nuclear power and repress as well opposed to war and militarization.
The Abe government is also pushing ahead with building a new US base in Okinawa despite mass opposition of the people of Okinawa and even the newly elected governor.
Workers in Japan are beginning to fight back against these attacks and Yamamoto-san will report on the struggle of Japan railroad workers union Doro-Chiba and their struggle to fight further privatization and build a national network of unions throughout the country fighting to protect labor and all working people.
