“What’s Your Mission? A Cultural Preservation Action” is a full day of events investigating past and future of community art spaces in the Bay Area, through the lens of 2050 Bryant St., the space currently known as Inner Mission, and previously known as CELLspace. As beloved San Francisco community cultural spaces are slated for demolition to build more condos, we are holding a panel discussion to investigate collective actions and throwing a historical blowout party as a send off. The idea is to turn from struggling with change and development to creating new conversations and looking towards how the seeds of legacies can be planted to ensure that the future of San Francisco remains a fertile ground for community art and creativity.
Schedule for the day 11:30-1 Potluck brunch 1-4 Panel Discussion and breakout groups on the state of community Arts in the Bay Area 5-7 Procession in the Mission form 2050 Bryant to SF earth day event on 22nd and bartlett 8-10 Cabaret with live acts 10-11 yoga and tai chi 11-6 Old Skool Dance Party Throwdown Dj’s- including Brother (Santa Cruz Moontribe) Little John Clay David Satori and Zoe Jakes from Beats Antique
