Join us in celebrating International Women's Day Month by listening to the stories and movement work of migrant women in the South Bay!
Migrant women working as domestic workers, caregivers and street vendors in the South Bay will be highlighting their personal experiences as migrant women living in "Silicon Valley" as well as their movement work in the workplace and in the community.
Featuring migrant women organizers from:
Mujeres Unidas y Activas - South Bay:
(MUA) is a grassroots organization of Latina immigrant women with a double mission of promoting personal transformation and building community power for social and economic justice.
Pilipino Association of Workers & Immigrants:
(PAWIS) We are Filipino workers and im/migrants, realizing the need to support ourselves collectively to strengthen our voice and stand against any forms of abuse and exploitation.
Vendors United Collective:
A collective of fresh produce vendors in the South Bay.
Speakers will be speaking mainly in Spanish or Tagalog, translations will be provided as well as activities for children and refreshments.
