Louisiana faces many challenges on how people who have been sexually and/or physically violated are able to find justice and protection from perpetrators. Senator Morrell established a commission to study how to legislate for better outcomes for victims of abuse. He will be introducing a series of Bills this April Legislative session to mandate compliance on reporting rape crimes on university campuses as well as to provide better en-global protections for residents. Fixing the system that has traumatized many LA residents and getting the Bills passed will require civic engagement. Senator Morrell breaks it down with WTUL News and Views.
