East Oakland Community Garden Project

I am in the beginning stages of something grand and I need help. I have a plan to build a community garden in East Oakland. This will not just be a place where plants can grow but people as well. I envision having a garden as well as a bench area for people to sit and meet, as well as have poetry, organizing meetings, sing songs, something communal for everyone. I am writing proposals for monies but there is a lot to this and I need help. No great feat was ever done alone, and if someone tells you different theyre lying.

So I am asking folks to email me FIRST, so I can start a contact list to see who wants to be involved and then set up a meeting before the end of the week
