Beverly Hills, CA ~ Rabbi David Baron, Founder of the Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre has announced a FREE Shabbat Service and Performance in observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and honoring Reverend Ronald V. Myers, Sr., M.D., a renowned Civil Rights Activist, Founder and Chairman of the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation and National Juneteenth Christian Leadership Council. An amazing full day and evening of preparation and production is a good way to honor and serve in fullest recognition of the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The historical legacy of chattel slavery in California and long transition of Beverly Hills, CA into today's an inclusive progressive community, bonds our unique story in a good way. Past restrictive covenants included: the global Jewish community, people of African ancestry, people of Latino origin, Native Americans and anyone not appearing of Anglo-Saxon origin.

California Juneteenth: “Our American Journey Towards Freedom” continues to build upon the values, beliefs and self-determination shared in the high culture education and broad historic legacy of Beverly Hills, CA.

National Juneteenth leadership will experience this authentic historic transition from Ancient Native cultures, Spanish conquest, Mexican Rancho Rodeo de Las Aguas, California Statehood and chattel slavery in California.

The life and legacy of Biddy Mason, connecting the Mississippi River Basin, African Methodist Church and the legacy of Beverly Hills, CA will solidify the National significance of Juneteenth, from sea to shinning sea and beyond.

Yearlong California Juneteenth Sesquicentennial Celebrations ending December 19, 2015 will highlight and quantify our authentic legacy essential to sharing the values and beliefs demonstrated in the unbelievable transformation of Beverly Hills, California, part of our unique journey towards freedom.
