Demand Justice for Michael Brown
Friday November 28, 5:00 pm sharp*
Last week, Missouri Governor Nixon declared a “State of Emergency” — mobilizing the National Guard, and authorizing violent suppression of protest — even before a Grand Jury announced that Ferguson cop Darren Wilson would walk free after murdering 18 year old Michael Brown, leaving his body lying in the street for 4 hours.
People seeking justice for Michael Brown, and hundreds of others killed by police every year, continue to protest the outrageous exoneration of Wilson’s actions. The “pre-indictment” of protest in advance of the announcement was even more outrageous. Is the system protecting people from arbitrary police authority, or planning for it?
We are witnessing an epidemic of police murders in the United States. You are needed to help hold up photos of some of the most recent victims of police beatings, strangulation and shootings. RSVP 415-864-5153 to reserve your sign.
This action is called by members of Occupy Action Council SF, Code Pink, and World Can't Wait.
*NOTE: “Black Friday” is not only the busiest shopping day of the year, it is coincidentally the date of Macy’s annual Great Tree Lighting, guaranteeing a huge Stand-With-Ferguson-Protesters audience. Come early to set up our signage… meet up behind the plaza stage, mid-block of Post Street. If you come after 5:00, look for us around Union Square.
The world can’t wait— Arrest and Prosecute Darren Wilson. Before he kills again.
