Back on the Air Again!--Free Radio Santa Cruz at 101.1 FM--Still Seeking Assistance

Freak Radio, continuously streaming at http://audio.str3am.com:5110/, is back on the air after antenna problems. I encourage folks to call in at 831-427-3772 and 831-469-3119 with announcements and comments. We've been off the air (but on the stream) for the last few weeks, and for a longer period before that. As one broadcaster, I thank folks who continued to listen by computer and also those who are now returning to hear us on the radio.

We're still looking for alternate antenna sites and may well be needing one again soon. For more information or to offer suggestions, contact us at http://www.freakradio.org . We're interested in anywhere around Santa Cruz except the "depression" area in the downtown a block or two in either directions from Pacific Avenue. Best area is Live Oak area or East side Santa Cruz generally.

An alternate site will allow us to more quickly resume broadcasting if harassed by misguided authorities--who have in the past threatened landlords, but never actually taken them to court.
