In celebration of October as National Disability Awareness Month, Alameda County will be presenting our 11th Annual Disability Employment Awareness Conference and Training. This conference is a one-day educational opportunity for management professionals in human resources, law and other professionals interested in diversity and inclusion workforce development to discuss best practices and gain employment knowledge relative to disabilities.

We would like to invite you to join us on October 16, 2014 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Emeryville, CA to expand your knowledge, skill and ability to hire, supervise and work with persons with disabilities more effectively. Our keynote addresses will include the Assistant Secretary of Labor - Office of Disability Employment Policy, Kathleen Martinez and Former Special Assistant to the President for Disability Policy, Kareem Dale. The ten sessions offered by thought leaders and subject matter experts will provide best practices and tools for creating and maintaining an inclusive and productive work environment. The Conference has received pre-approval to offer HR Certification Institute recertification credits and an application is pending for CA MCLEs.

We are greatly excited about this year’s conference, but are truly in need of your assistance as a participant or sponsor to make this event a great success.
