Fresh from the front line of the successful farmer led ban on GMOs in two rural counties of Oregon, Magaleno Rose-Avila* will be a featured speaker at a community discussion. Through a lifetime of service to United Farm Workers Union, Peace Corp, Amnesty Int and Cesar E Chavez Foundation, "Leno" has seen the power of organizing and will share his story.
Food sovereignty, protecting the rights of nature and respecting the dignity of our community members, are just a few examples the PEOPLE POWERED initiatives gaining traction through grassroots activism.
LOCAL JUSTICE LEADERS will join Leno in sharing their victories and insights for real change. Join us. Get to know your allies and help grow a more just Bay Area.
