its important to exercise a constitutionally protected freedom or we're in danger of losing that freedom. 10 years ago congress nearly removed this aspect of the 1st amendment. Since then we've been celebrating this freedom. A free society holds a space for its citizens to protest its government. We never wanted to burn a flag until the day they tried to take that right away. Now we celebrate the right by exercising it. To us a burning flag is much more a symbol of freedom. Lets not get hung up on symbols of freedom. Lets fight for freedom itself.
