Bay Area Socialists (SPUSA) Will Hold Their May Meeting

The Bay Area Socialists have scheduled their May business meeting to occur on Saturday, May 24th at 1pm. The meeting will be held at the Chipotle Mexican Grill at the Great Mall in Milpitas. The purpose of the meeting is to identify key organizing issues and to determine political action for the coming year. The participants will also select a new Chair for the Local. Newcomers are encouraged to come and provide their input into the decision-making process. It is the goal of the Bay Area Socialists to build a strong democratic socialist presence in San Francisco Bay to fight for worker rights, racial, gender and LGBT equality. In order to achieve these ends, the Bay Area Socialists believe a transformation of the economy is necessary and that capitalism must be gradually transformed, democratized and ultimately replaced by democratic socialism.

All though this is a business meeting, it will be great greeting and meeting all the attendees!

• Determine what we can do to support the Socialist Party USA national priorities
• Elect a new Chair for the Local to fill the vacancy
