• Lara Kiswani, Executive Director, Arab Resource & Organizing Center
• Richard Becker, Participant in April 30-May 1, 2014 International Conference on Palestinian Political Prisoners in Beirut, Lebanon
With the collapse of the U.S.-orchestrated “peace process” and the new unity agreement among Palestinian organizations, the liberation struggle is intensifying. On April 30-May 1 a major international conference was held in Beirut, Lebanon on the situation of the more than 5,200 Palestinians illegally held in Israeli prisons. Conference delegates also made a solidarity visit to a Palestinian refugee camp, and traveled to Lebanon’s militarized southern border.
This public meeting will coincide with the 66th anniversary of Al-Nakba – the forced expulsion of 750,000 Palestinian from their homeland.
