The University of California continues to employ torture advocate John Yoo to teach constitutional and international law courses. Failure to investigate charges of misconduct against the professor, in accordance with faculty code of conduct defined by University 'Standards of Ethical Conduct,' compels us to act on behalf of those who have suffered the consequence of John Yoo's legal opinions.

An ideology that includes justification of crimes of arbitrary detention, torture, trials bereft of due process, and vast domestic surveillance has no place in academic institutions, let alone civil society.

People of conscience will say NO to the culture of violence that enables these crimes. Hand out orange ribbons and flyers outside Boalt Hall Graduation 2014:
