OPD <3's DAC - Valentines Day Romance

Early this night a purple heart, red tinsel and balloon were hung from one of West Oakland's many surveillance cameras. A sign reading "OPD <3's DAC", CAMOVER pamphlets and further glittery bullshit was fixed to the supporting lamp pole. This display was erected as a monument to Oakland Police Department's love affair with the Domain Awareness Center (http://oaklandwiki.org/Domain_Awareness_Center).

Sometimes you gather more attention with glitter than broken glass, I'll leave the latter for later this month. T.W.A.T, haven't heard from you all for awhile-- beat me to it before I get back up from my armchair? Is no one else sick of these things?

Some tips on procedure:
I prepared a length of rope with a “figure eight” knot at the end and simple hand holds running about 15ft. I then tossed the rope over top of the street sign and ran the length of rope back through the figure eight forming something of a lasso. My bike was propped up against the pole and I was able to use this as a stepping stool to overcome the first couple feet. After that I climbed up to the street sign happy to find that it held my weight but was unable to pull myself up fully, resting on my chest I vowed to be standing atop it next time as to better reach that little devil.
