Tuesday, January 21, is the fourth anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court debacle known as Citizens United.

To mark this inauspicious anniversary, a broad coalition of groups – who are working to amend the Constitution to overturn Citizens United and other corporate powers – are producing a virtual teach-in about the state of our democracy movement and what you can do to help. PPJC will hold a Watch Party, projecting the online teach-in onto a large screen so we can watch and learn together.

Let’s talk about what’s next, including the Supreme Court’s upcoming decision in McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission, which could compound the anti-democratic effects of Citizens United.

PPJC will organize an emergency response demonstration when the Supreme Court hands down its McCutcheon decision. Get in early on the planning and mobilization. We’ll all need to be pulling together to reclaim our democracy from the corporations and influential wealthy.
