Albany Bulb Court Action
When: November 18th at 2p.m.
Where: San Francisco Courthouse, Courtroom 6 -
17th Floor 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102
What: The federal court will hear arguments in the lawsuit that has been filed against the City of Albany on behalf of Albany Housing Advocates and ten homeless Albany residents who currently live on the small peninsula known as the Albany Bulb.
The city has announced that evictions will begin the week of November 18th, as soon as the 15 beds each. Enough to, at best, house only half of the current Bulb residents. for only six months. With eviction imminent, residents and supporters will be present at the hearing to demonstrate our support for the residents of the Bulb and the continued existence of the beautiful cultural center that space has become.
Albany Bulb Rally Outside City Hall
When: November 18th at 7p.m.
Where: Albany City Hall
What: The City of Albany has announced that it will start the eviction of the Albany Bulb this upcoming week. Activists, allies, community members, and Bulb residents will rally at the Albany City Council meeting this Monday at 7p.m to voice opposition to the eviction and then take action to demonstrate solidarity with the Bulb residents.
