Join the California Alliance for Retired Americans (CARA), Senior Disability Action, Gray Panthers of SF, and many other groups for a special presentation of "Mercy Killers," to be followed by a discussion of the healthcare crisis and the need for single-payer, Medicare-For-All system of healthcare, providing equal, accessible, and affordable healthcare for all, regardless of age, job, health, income, or citizenship status.

Joe is blue-collar, made in the USA and proud, but when his uninsured wife is diagnosed with cancer, his patriotic feelings and passion for the ethos of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are turned upside down. In “Mercy Killers,” a new one-man play, Joe struggles with the uniquely American experience of losing your health in the land of plenty. “Mercy Killers reveals the barbarity of it all through the story of Joe, a man who was ‘all about the American dream’ until the system hits, hits, and hits again. A deeply affecting love story, Mike Milligan astonishes.” – Connie Julian, Revolution Books.
