Friday, October 11
What: The Village Project and the Bayview Y will present 3nd annual, “A Senior Moment”, on Friday, October 11, at Westbay Conference Center. Senior community members who have given their time and dedication to serving their communities will be recognized. This year’s honorees are Karen & Greg Johnson, from Marcus Books; Ms. Robin Bill, Director of the Western Addition Senior Center; Dr. Caesar Churchwell, African American Chamber of Commerce; and Ms. Irene Dillard, Administrator, Booker T. Washington Community Center. District 5 Supervisor, London Breed will join the celebration and present these outstanding seniors with certificates of honor. After the awards presentations at 7 pm, guests will satisfy their palates with a delectable dinner, followed by some “down home” blues, featuring Maestro Curtis and the All Stars Blues Band.
