The march toward war is speeding up. Top U.S. officials announced Aug. 27 that they will not wait for the outcome of the UN investigation on the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria, and that the U.S. air and naval forces off the Syrian coast are ready to launch missile and air strikes. Britain and France, the former colonizers of the region, are set to join in the assault.

If the emergency response protest is on a weekend day, it will take place at 12 noon at Powell & Market Sts.
