END LONG TERM SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

On Monday, July 8, 2013, a group from Humboldt (the county below Del Norte- Crescent City), will do a simple demonstration outside Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City. July 8th is the day that the peaceful protest inside the prison walls, a Prisoner Hunger Strike and Work Stoppage, will begin at Pelican Bay and multiple other CA prisons.

This demonstration is one action to honor Basic Human Rights, Oppose Torture, and show Solidarity with prisoners who have been held in prolonged and extreme isolation in California prisons.

If you are interested in joining in the July 8 Solidarity Demonstration, call (707) 442-7465 or email parc.office [at] gmail.com.

The message of our demonstration will be PRISONER HUNGER STRIKE SOLIDARITY!! END Long-Term Solitary Confinement. Stop the Torture.

The United Nations considers it torture to confine someone for over 15 days in extreme isolation, and also to do cruel and inhumane things to someone to extract information. Both of these tortures are commonplace in CA prisons. Please join in solidarity to stop the torture on July 8th.

Call 707-442-7465 for RIDES, meet-up location, and other information. Please spread the word!
