On Saturday, MAY 25, ATA Gallery’s OTHER CINEMA concludes its Spring ‘13 season with its semi-annual NEW EXPERIMENTAL WORKS program.
About a dozen of the artists are here in person for this history-making event, known world over as California’s most festive celebration of personal expression and radical film form.
Among the most eagerly anticipated are new pieces from regional luminaries Anne McGuire and Jeanne Finley. Local fave Doug Katelus debuts his Hard Ticket, Kelly Sears kicks in The Rancher, and Salise Hughes contributes her masterful Charade. The one and only Lana Voronina unveils her new intermedia performance piece New World Order Rave Mom.
ALSO featured are Brook Hinton’s Slow Force Glimpse, Katherin McInnis’ Last Resort, Isabel Fondevila’s Save the Whales, Clint Enns’ Debbie Does ASCII, Heidi Phillips’ Composition in Art, Daniel Corona’s Bedroom, Pablo Marin’s Denkbilder, Giuseppe Boccassini’s Obscene, and Georg Koszulinski’s 16mm Message from my Centenarian (actually produced in 2079!).
PLUS, working furiously toward world premieres are Milos Vortek, Linda Scobie, Bryan Boyce, and Linda Fenstermaker.
Come early for artists’ reception, the Dream Machine, and, as always, free pencils!!!
