5/11 SF Action To Save The Children Of Fukushima And Stop The Restart of Japan's 50 Nuke Plants
Save The Children Of Fukushima And Don't Restart Japan's 50 Nuke Plants
Rally and Speak Out
May 11, 2013 3:00 PM
Japanese Consulate 50 Fremont St./Mission St San Francisco

This past Sunday May 5 was Children's Day in Japan. Before Fukushima, Children's day is was a happy day for most of the children of Japan but after the nuclear meltdown of three nuclear reactors at Fukushima there is a great fear in Fukushima.
The government and Tokyo Electric Power Company refused to provide for the evacuation of the children of Fukushima.
They continue to receive daily radioactive contamination and over 30% of the children of Fukushima have developed
thyroid cysts.
The No Nukes Action Committee NNA has had monthly rallies and actions to call on the Japanese government to evacuate
the children and people of Fukushima, stop the restart of Japan's additional nuclear plants and also stop the buying of nuclear rubble
at other prefectures or states throughout Japan which the government is funding.
The government has also admitted that it has no place to store the contaminated water from the nuclear plant and that it still is
trying to stop the continuing accidents including power failures and other crisis.
The nuclear plant workers continue to be contaminated and yet the government not only wants to restart other plants but also is
pushing to export nuclear power plants to Turkey and many other countries around the world.
The government of Japan, TEPCO and the US government and the Interernational Atomic Energy Agency IAEA are all saying that
radiation can be "overcome" and that Fukushima can be "decontaminated". This propaganda is based on the plan to continue business as usual in the nuclear power and weapons industry and must be challenged.
This has to stop and only the people of Japan, the US and the world can stop this expansion of nuclear power plants and force the evacuation of the children of Fukushima.
Please join us on Saturday May 11 to add your voice for justice and human rights. We will also be marching at 3:45 to PG&E on
245 Market St. near Spear.
