April 13, 2013, the Saturday before Tax Day, is a National Day of Action to Stop Drones, and now with a second Democratic President saber rattling with North Korea, which suffered 3 million dead at the hands of Democratic Pres Truman 1950-1953, we will have to add No 2d War Against North Korea to our demands. The San Francisco demonstration is at 12 Noon at Powell and Market. On Tax Weekend, we say Money for Jobs, Healthcare, Housing, Education, Pensions, Renewable Energy and All Other Social Needs; not for War!
This past week has been quite a reactionary week for the current Democratic President. In addition to brinkmanship over North Korea and his constant drone attacks anywhere he pleases after providing the military with a weekly kill list, we heard him promote an extremely anti-labor Social Security and Medicare plan, cutting benefits labor won in 1935 (Social Security) and 1965 (Medicare) which benefits have nothing to do with the war-induced deficit; he continues to proudly promote his verbal opposition to the Morning After Pill without prescription to women under age 17 and he demeaned a female attorney general by calling her the best-looking attorney general, reminding us of his male chauvinism. He got the picket lines he deserved in San Francisco and Atherton, protesting the horrifying XL Pipeline that his Secretary of State has already approved.
