Dr. Jeff Halper is the co-founder of the Israeli Committee against House Demolitions, an anthropology professor, life long peace and justice activist and a Nobel Prize nominee. He'll speak on "Globalizing Palestine:”

Israel, a middle-range country that has managed to insert itself strategically into the world’s military-industrial complex, provides a useful entry point into the workings of global pacification. Its ongoing attempt to impose an exclusivist and militaristic ethnocracy over Palestine, together with the need to foster diplomatic support for its policies of occupation, lies at the core of its security politics. Locked it into permanent counterinsurgency – war against the Palestinian people – Israel has gained tactics and weaponry that hegemons the world over find effective in their own wars amongst the people.
