Wasted Lives: A panel discussion on the impact of industrial pollution and waste on vulnerable communities
The panelists are individuals who have spent their lives researching, campaigning, writing on issues and training communities on the effects of pollution and waste caused by the industries and the consequences impacting vulnerable communities across the world.
Panelists:
Shweta Narayan is a researcher and an environmental justice activist, she coordinates the Community Environmental Monitoring (CEM) program for The Other Media and has been associated as a volunteer for the campaign for justice for the survivors of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy since 2002.
Shibu Nair serves as the program director of the Zero Waste management program at Thanal.
Ruth Breech joined the Global Community Monitor staff in 2007, training dozens of communities nationally and internationally on air sampling, communications, learning and overcoming regulatory limitations and engaging polluting companies directly
