On Friday March 8th, International Women’s Day, we invite the community to a demonstration to resist rape culture in all its forms. The event was organized by F-WORD (Feminists Working on Real Democracy), a collective of gender non-conforming and female identified people that recently formed in Santa Cruz.
This is an unrelenting movement to engage our community in ending the acceptance of rape culture, through means of education, activism, and creative presence. Our intention is to create a safe space in which we critically analyze how rape occurs not as isolated incidents, but rather as part of a culture that normalizes sexual and gendered violence.
