Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck is an intimate monthly dinner party where writers and foodies come together to eat, write, and share. Head to Feast of Words on the third Tuesday of each month to discover local chefs and writers, bring a dish on the monthly theme and share your on-the-spot writing to be entered in a drawing for edibles, books and other prizes!

On Tuesday, March 19, 7 to 9pm, Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck teams up with San Francisco submission-based reading series Quiet Lightning to feature a literary mixtape of local writers. In signature Quiet Lightning style, the readings will be delivered in rapid succession and printed in the 37th issue of “sparkle + blink,” a Quiet Lightning chapbook sold at the event for $10. A free ebook download of “sparkle + blink” and video documentation of the readings will be accessible following the event at http://www.quietlightning.org.

Culinary guest Maggie Weber-Striplin of Pachamama Cookery anchors the evening’s potluck with a savory hot dish inspired by the theme “Quiet Lightning.” As always, guests can bring a dish, take part in a writing exercise and share the work they have created for a chance to win literary and culinary prizes.
