Over 100 students, faculty and supporters of public education marched and rallied at CCSF on February 21, 2013. They also began an occupation of the administration building.
Students At CCSF March, Rally And Occupy Administration Building To STOP Cutbacks & Privatization
Over 100 City College of San Francisco students, faculty and supporters marched, rallied and occupied on February 21, 2013 to demand an end to the cutbacks and the privatization of the college. They called for accountability by the Chancellor Dr. Thelma Scott-Skillman who refused to show up and then they occupied the administration building waiting for the Chancellor to appear. The AFT 2121 leaders as well as the SEIU 1000 leadership did not speak at the rally in support of the student to stop the attacks. Rank and file members did participate. The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC)
http://www.saveccsf.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/ACCJC-Facts-and-Analysis.pdf has threatened public colleges and schools but refuses to close down private charters and online operations where the rate of graduation is very low and billions of dollars are being made by the private operators. The ACCJR is also run by these same privatizers.
