Hi, I'm Cristina and I work with Synchronized Chaos International Magazine. We're a variety and cultural monthly webzine providing a voice for the public, including the incarcerated, the homeless, the elderly, teens and those in developing countries.
And we're inviting you to join us for an unofficial benefit event we're hosting in San Francisco. It's for a hardworking intern, Dante Cassius, who came to us from a background in development for environmental and civil rights organizations. Unfortunately he's now severely ill, uninsured and has lost his place to live. So we're throwing a party to raise funds for his groceries, crashspace and medical treatment.
This is a cultural event/party with worldbeat music, poetry readings, and delicious soju cocktails. The band Sweet Hayah (sweet life in Arabic) will play, and we'll provide the first Western reading of the works of recognized Egyptian poet Jaylan Salah.
Dante will be at the event so people can meet him, and we'll collect donations anonymously and discreetly. No one turned away for lack of funds, although we encourage you to help as much as you can.
Would love to see you there! Saturday, March 9th, 8pm at Cafe Royale, 800 Post St. RSVP to our Facebook page encouraged but not required.
