Description
Come to take part in an all-night ecstatic dance with six of the Bay Area’s most top-shelf DJs. Participate in our yoga movement class and unwind your mind, body & spirit with on-site bodywork. Dine on delicious food & drink, while taking part in a silent auction and raffle drawings at the Gift Bazaar. Join other local artisans, craftspeople, and professional service providers, and donate items for the Silent Auction & Raffle. It’s a great opportunity to help spread the word about you, your art, and what you do.

The net proceeds will benefit the newly created WildCat Legal Defense Fund. The primary beneficiary of this kickoff event is Cougar DancingHawk Upton, as he fights medical cannabis-related felony charges in San Luis Obispo County, CA. These are serious accusations and carry a potential for jail time, probation and hefty fines.

The financial goal of this Fundraiser Event is $8,000, to cover the current estimates for the cost of this legal defense campaign.

If this event is well turned out, and more money is raised than needed to cover Cougar’s immediate legal costs, the additional funds will be held in escrow by Pier 5 Law Group (San Francisco) for use in legal defense of other similar cases affecting people in our community.

This is also an educational experience, for anyone that wants to know a bit more about the effect the war on drugs has on our community, everyday. And the very real hazards for Californians who get tripped into the legal quagmire.
