New Public Policy Group Launches
New group envisions inclusive and compassionate approach to issues of social and economic justice.
A new community group has formed with the mission of developing public policy to inform and guide social, environmental and economic decision making. The group, Citizens for a Better Santa Cruz (CFAB SC), will create a forum for discussion of local issues and build an inclusive platform for the development of progressive and compassionate approaches to problem solving.
The group is being formed in part as a reaction to the inability of current civic leadership to generate positive policies and programs that address matters of concern for members of the community at large. By raising the level of public debate through a planned series of workshops, round table discussions and neighborhood meetings, the group hopes to forge a consensus of opinion and develop a blueprint for progressive action and engagement.
All interested community members are welcome to share their thoughts, insights and opinions on the new open group Facebook page:
