On Saturday December 22, ATA Gallery’s OTHER CINEMA champions personal expression and radical form in its season-consummating N.E.W. Night! Constituting the season’s most “exploratory” programming initiative—and with many of the makers in person—are Jeanne Finley & John Muse’s Manhole 452, Soda_Jerk’s The Time That Remains, Sietske Tjallingii’s Bowled Over, and the world premiere of Kristin Cato’s words in the rain. ALSO: Eliane Lima’s Leonora, Linda Fenstermaker’s Red Heron, Mike Maryniuk’s Cattle Call, Katherin McInnis’ Artificial Persons, and Julie Murray’s 16mm Orchard. PLUS recent pieces by Lewis Klahr, Scott Stark, Bryan Boyce, Heidi Phillips, and Patrick Wilkinson. Come early for a very special performance by the delightful Cookie Tongue twosome, free pencils, and the Dream Machine!
